What care types are available?
Meadowlands offers independent living and assisted living options, including 10 dedicated Type B suites through Assisted Living Alberta. Each resident who moves in is introduced to our Director of Care to make sure we can accommodate their needs.
What type of suites do you have available?
We offer studio suites (346-470 sq ft) and one-bedroom suites (475-645 sq ft) which are month-to-month rentals.
What are your prices?
Studios range from $2550 - $2970, and our one-bedroom suites range from $3240 - $4575. Fees for our Type B suites are set by Assisted Living Alberta.
Are there any services that are included in rent?
All three meals + snacks, weekly housekeeping and laundering of bedding and towels, and access to all recreational activities.
Can you cook in your suite, or are there meal plans?
There are no stoves in any of our suites and plug-in cooking appliances including hot plates toaster ovens, are not permitted. We provide all three meals per day for each resident with options at each meal, as well as 24/7 access to snacks and beverages.
Is Wi-Fi, cable and phone included?
Meadowlands offers Wi-Fi and phone for an extra fee, but you will need to contact Rogers to set up your own cable (or bundle for all three).
What types of activities do you offer?
Meadowlands offers a variety of activities to suit different interests and abilities, including live music, games, crafts, cards, exercises, and fun-filled bus outings, just to name a few.
Do you use your bus for appointments?
The bus is used for scheduled outings only.
Do you have to pay for activities?
On a rare occasion, there may be a fee for some activities or social events, but most activities themselves are free of charge.
Do you have a guest suite?
Yes, we do have a guest suite. This can be booked at the front desk. The price is $120 per night and includes your meals and Prime TV.
Are you pet-friendly?
We are pet-friendly; however, there are a few rules. You must have your pet prior to moving in, there is a pet deposit required, and you will need an emergency contact in the event you can no longer care for your pet.
Can guests stay for meals?
Of course they can! Family members may purchase meal tickets at the front desk ($10 breakfast, $12 lunch, $18 dinner). There is also a private dining room that can be booked for larger gatherings.
Does the building lock at night?
The front and back doors of the building are open at 7:00 am and are locked at 8:00 pm. Residents are welcome to come and go at any time of day/night. There is a button in each foyer to buzz in after hours (screened by the clinical team).
Can I add extra services?
In the event you feel like you need more supports to your daily life, please schedule an appointment with our Director of Care or Associate Director of Care. Extra supports could include shower assistance, morning and evening care, stocking assistance, or medication management, to name a few.
